It is a new dawn for football in Australia. Nikolai Topor-Stanley, Caitlin Munoz, Woden Valley girls, Ben Harrington, Ben Wilson, Allyson Flynn, Ben Williams are just some of the Canberrans travelling throughout Asia for football.
Canberra can now take advantage of football’s growth and it’s move into Asia. Canberra needs an A-League team.
We have a clear process to do this and it will show everyone that an A-League side is not only important for Canberra but a necessity.
We’ve set 1 July 2009 as the FFA submission date. When successful, this will give us inclusion in the A-League for the 2010-11 season.
In the period leading up to this deadline, it is critical that we amass vocal support to justify to governments, corporate, and individual investors that a Canberra A-League franchise will be a viable proposition.
