WEST POINT, N.Y. – Head coach Brian Riley and the Army West Point hockey program has announced its 2015-16 schedule, which features 17 home games and includes four non-conference matchups against Hockey East foes.
The slate kicks off on Oct. 9 with a visit to Tate Rink from Boston College for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. Other non-league faceoffs against Hockey East teams include Connecticut on the road on Nov. 10, Merrimack on Dec. 29 and Massachusetts on Jan. 2 on home ice.
The Atlantic Hockey schedule starts on Oct. 23 with a two-game set on the road at Mercyhurst. The Black Knights will play a total of 28 league games during the 2015-16 season. One of those league games is set to be played at the Barclays Center on Nov. 1 as part of BROOKLYN HOCKEY, which features Army West Point against Bentley, followed by Notre Dame and Connecticut.
The Army-Air Force series will take place on Jan. 15 and 16 at Tate Rink, which will be followed by the annual clash between the Black Knights and the Royal Military College. The game is set for Jan. 23 in Kingston, Ontario, as Army West Point goes back to Canada after hosting the Paladins last year.
The Atlantic Hockey Tournament will take place over three weeks in March. The best-of-three first round starts on March 4, while the quarterfinals faceoff the following weekend. The semifinals and championship will be held at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y., and those are on March 18 and 19, respectively.
Tickets for the upcoming season will be on sale shortly.
