WEST POINT, N.Y. – Following a four-point weekend, John Laurito of the Army West Point hockey team was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Rookie of the Week. It is the first weekly honor of his career.

Laurito tallied four points for Army during his 14th career game. The freshman scored the Black Knights’ first and last goals on Friday night while dishing out assists on two others. He finished +4 on the weekend and he and his linemates tallied 10 points together.

The Johnston, R.I., native posted the most points by a rookie this season for Army. He was the third player this season to notch a multi-goal game. It also marked the 27th multi-point game for a Cadet this year.

The Black Knights have one home weekend of the regular season remaining. Fans are encouraged to attend Sacred Heart for the Friday and Saturday series Feb. 23-24.
