Arnold Earns SUNYAC Honors

Potsdam hockey player Mike Arnold (Didsbury,
Alberta/Kingston Voyageurs) has been named the State University of New
York Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 11.

Arnold recorded a hat trick on three power-play goals in the Bears
dramatic come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Buffalo State on Saturday
night. Two of the juniorē—“ goals came in the third period, including the
game-winner with 1:32 left. Arnold also added an assist for a four-point
night. The hat trick was his second this season.

This year, Potsdamē—“ assistant captain leads his team in scoring with
eight goals and three assists for 11 points in five games. Arnold leads
the SUNYAC in goals (7), points (9), power-play goals (5) and scoring
average (2.25 goals-per-game) in four conference contests. Nationally, he
is first in power-play goals (5), eighth in scoring average (2.20 gpg) and
third in goals-per-game (1.60).

The Bears (3-2, 2-2 SUNYAC) hit the road this weekend for two crucial
contests with Brockport and Geneseo. Potsdam takes on the Golden Eagles at
7 p.m. on Friday and the Ice Knights at the same time on Saturday.
