Canton, NY – Sophomore Ben Beasley (Burlington, ON) has been recognized as one of just two defensemen on the D3hockey.com national team of the week, as announced on Tuesday.
Beasley played a crucial role in helping the Roos secure a huge 3-2 win against NESCAC foe Hamilton College on Saturday. The defenseman gave SUNY Canton a 2-1 lead at 8:15 of the second period when he buried an unassisted goal for his fourth of the season. The sophomore then picked up his fourth assist of the season on the game-winning goal with just 1:13 remaining in the third period. Beasley ranks third on the team with eight points this season and is the only Roos defenseman in the top 7 in scoring on the team.
