CANTON, N.Y.—Ryan Salkeld (Virginia Beach, VA/Churchland) scored 43 seconds into overtime and Buffalo State escaped with a 5-4 victory over SUNY Canton tonight in a non-conference game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
One night after tallying six points in a 10-1 win, Taylor Pryce (Newmarket, ON/Cardinal Carter) came back with a three-point performance on two goals and an assist.
Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) and Nick Schiro (Sanborn/Niagara Wheatfield) chipped in a goal and an assist each.
The Bengals fell behind 2-0 early in the second period, but battled back to even the score at 3-3, scoring a pair of goals in the final 1:26 of the frame.
Canton reclaimed the lead with just over six minutes remaining in regulation, but Pryce scored his second of the game and fifth of the season while shorthanded with just 2:21 remaining.
Salkeld netted the game winner with and assist from Scott Roy (Rockland, ON/ESC L’Escale)
Buffalo State held a 32-29 edge in shots, and Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) made 25 saves in goal.
