Buffalo State Women’s Hockey’s Goodwin Garners All-ECAC West Accolades
CENTERVILLE, Mass.–Buffalo State junior forward Kara Goodwin (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) was named All-ECAC West honorable mention after leading the Bengals to their first playoff appearance since 2007-08.
The journalism major has paced the undersized Bengals’ squad that has activated just 10 skaters in each game down the stretch. She leads the team with 15 goals and 21 points in 25 games, and tallied 16 points in the final 10 games of the regular season, that included a nine-game point-scoring streak with 11 goals in that stretch.
Buffalo State will visit Oswego on Saturday at 3 p.m. for an ECAC West quarterfinal contest. If the Bengals win, they will advance to the semifinals at No. 1 Plattsburgh next Saturday.
