Rochester, New York – Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex announced today plans to host two Try Ice Hockey for Free Events over the next three weeks.

Children aged 4 to 9 are encouraged to come to the Iceplex where they will get dressed in full hockey equipment and get to learn ice hockey basics.  Instruction will be provided by local hockey coaches, the Iceplex hockey staff and local players, such as the Nazareth Golden Flyers men’s ice hockey team.  No hockey or skating experience is required, so all children are welcome.

Dates and times for the events are;

February 22nd from 2:30pm to 3:30pm
March 1st from 10:00 am to 11:30am

“These events will provide children an opportunity to try hockey in a fun and safe environment,” said Erik Geller, Director of Hockey at the Iceplex.  “This is a great way to introduce new participants to the greatest game on ice, at no cost to them.”
