Rochester, New York – Over 2600 ice hockey players and family members will come together this weekend for the Presidential Power-Play tournament. The annual event put on by MyHockey Tournaments will take place at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex and runs February 14th through the 16th.
In total, 71 youth hockey teams will compete, of which 53 teams traveled in from all over North America. A variety of US States are represented at this event (NY, PA, OH, MD and VA) as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

These 53 out of town teams equates to roughly 2100 out of town guests that will reside in local hotels, dine in local restaurants and shop in local stores over a three day period. The economic impact to the surrounding area for events such as these are substantial as a large number of guests call Rochester home for an extended stay.

This event is number five out of six that takes place at Bill Gray’s Regional Iceplex during the calendar year. For more information on the event and to view the full game schedule, visit www.myhockeytournaments.com.
