Buffalo Regals 14U Tier1 Sweep up at the 6th Annual Sheraton Shootout

The Buffalo Regals 14U girls hockey team shuffled down the I90 for the 6th Annual Shertaton Shootout in Syracuse, NY.

The Regals  opened the tournament up against the host team, Syracuse Nationals, with a 2-0 win. They would continue their winning ways in  the next three games, beating Gloucester Cumberland Stars 6-1, the Minuteman Lady Flames 5-0, and the New England Jr. Falcons 5-0. ,to advance to the finals.

In the Championship game, the Buffalo Regals would go on to defeat the Nationals in a great, back and forth game, winning 3-2.

Janet has been covering women's hockey for over 35 years. Along with a 38 year career in Public Relations and over 40 years photographing sports, she found a passion in women's hockey. Her initial story was on the founding of the Niagara University D1 program, she expanded to collegiate and youth and was active in the founding and promoting of the WNY Girls Varsity Ice Hockey Federation.
