MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Buffalo State dominated host Morrisville from the opening faceoff and finally broke through for four goals in the third period to pull away for a 6-1 victory in a SUNYAC contest this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Zach Remers (Clarence, NY/Canisius) and Hugo Petit (Chelsea, QC/CIH Acad.) netted two goals apiece to lead Buffalo State.
Anthony Passero (Fort Erie, ON/Lakeshore) added a goal and an assist, and Mac Wood (Simcoe, ON/SCS) also scored.
Vadim Vasjonkin (Tallinn, Estonia) and Ben Butcher (Bellingham, WA/Langley) registered two assists each.
Buffalo State peppered the Morrisville goal with 33 shots, while conceding just nine in the opening 40 minutes, but led just 2-1 going into the third period. Remers scored twice in the opening frame, while Morrisville struck on the power play, and neither team scored in the middle stanza.
Buffalo State finally broke the game open with Petit getting things started with his first of the game just 33 seconds into the third.
Wood’s seventh of the year and Passero’s fourth extended the lead before Petit finished the scoring with his second of the game and sixth of the year.
Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) needed only to make 15 saves for the win as the Bengals finished with a 48-16 shot advantage.

Aidan Conolly scored the only goal for Morrisville.
