OSWEGO, N.Y.—Ryan Salkeld (Virginia Beach, VA/Churchland) scored twice for Buffalo State, but Oswego outshot the visiting Bengals 62-22 and skated away with a 4-2 victory in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Marano Campus Center Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Salkeld opened the scoring just 4:29 into the game with assists from Anthony Beaumont (Lester, PA/Interboro) and Sean Hrivnak (Laval, QC/College Laval).
The Lakers would score the game’s next four goals however, including one in the first, one more in the second and two in the third.
Salkeld netted his second of the game and sixth of the season on a two-man advantage with 2:49 remaining, but the Bengals could not complete the comeback. Marcus Michalski (Woodstock, ON/St. Mary’s Catholic) and Brody Power (Toronto, ON/Upper Canada College) collected assists.
Mike DeLaVergne (Pawling, NY/Pawling) allowed four goals and 47 shots before being relieved by Ian Sylves (Sloan, NY/JFK) with just under 10 minutes remaining. Sylves stopped all 15 shots he faced as part of a 27-shot third period by the Lakers.
FOR THE FOES
David Ferreira and Joey Davies had a goal and an assist each for the Lakers, and Chris Waterstreet and Kenny Neil also scored.
Adrian Ignagni finished with 20 saves in the win.
