Buffalo State Head Women’s Hockey Coach Moxley to Play for Team Canada at World Inline Championships

Buffalo State head women’s ice hockey coach Candice Moxley will represent her native country as a member of Team Canada at the Federation of International Roller Sports (FIRS) World Inline Hockey Championships in Toulouse, France.
 
Moxley made the final 14-player roster and will compete with Team Canada in the 16-team tournament in France that runs fromJune 30 – July 6.  Canada will open its schedule on July 1 against Latvia and will also play against Australia on July 2 and Namibia on July 3.  The seeded playoff round will begin on July 4 and will conclude on July 6.
 
A native of Markham, Ontario, Moxley was a four-year ice hockey player at Division I Niagara University from 2001-05, where she played in 135 career games and netted 34 goals and 78 points.  She continued her playing career in the National Women’s Hockey League, and also earned a silver medal at the Esso Women’s Hockey Nationals and at the 2007 Provincial Championships.   In 2013, she was also a member of the Canadian National Ball Hockey Team.
