REISTERSTOWN, Md.— Defenseman Cheyenne Matson (Wasilla, AK/Matsu Career & Tech) had a goal and an assist to pace Buffalo State to a 2-2 tie against host Stevenson in a non-conference game today to conclude the first semester of play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Rachel Lenard (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) opened the scored for the Bengals with an assist from Matson with just 50 seconds remaining in the first period.
Stevenson evened the score just 28 seconds later, however, with a power-play marker.
Matson netted her second goal of the season on the power play with an assist from Lila Toczek (Pendleton, NY/Starpoint) for the only offense of the second period.
The Mustangs had an answer again, tallying the equalizer midway through the third period.
Neither team could score in overtime with each managing two shots on goal.
Stevenson finished with a slight 33-32 advantage in shots for the game.
Anna Quattro (Williamsville, NY/PEAC) stood strong in her first collegiate start, making 31 saves.
FOR THE FOES
Cierra Siemasko and Natalie Rosendahl scored for Stevenson.
Annie Smyth-Hammond finished with 30 saves for the Mustangs.
