BUFFALO, N.Y. – Buffalo State outshot visiting Trinity, 33-23, but dropped a 1-0 decision this afternoon in a non-conference match up.

THE BASICS

RECORDS: Buffalo State (4-5-0), Trinity (1-2-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Buffalo State outshot the Bantams 12-8 over the opening 20 minutes, but trailed 1-0 after the first period. Trinity’s goal came just 3:18 into the frame.
The Bengals added 11 more shots on goal in the second period, but could not break through.
Freshman goalie Bri Gawronski (Dunkirk, NY/Mt. Mercy) recorded two saves on breakaways by Bantam skaters in the second frame to keep the one goal deficit.
Buffalo State pulled its goalie with under a minute remaining in the third period, but could only generate one shot as Trinity closed out the win.
Gawronski finished with 22 saves in the game.

FOR THE FOES:
Taylor Peracchio scored the lone Bantam’s goal. Abigail Riskevic and Taylor Foy each picked up assists.
Sydney Belinskas recorded 33 saves.
