Buffalo State’s Husted SUNYAC Men’s Hockey Rookie of the Year

CORTLAND, N.Y.—The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced that Andrew Husted (Niagara Falls, NY/Grand Island) has claimed the league’s Rookie of the Year honors.

Husted, a freshman electrical engineering major, was the SUNYAC Rookie of the Week three times.  He finished second among all freshmen in the league with 18 points on nine goals and nine assists.  All nine of his goals came in league play, which was tops among all rookies.

Buffalo State finished 11-13-2 overall and qualified for the SUNYAC playoffs for the ninth-consecutive season.  The Bengals lost in the quarterfinals against Fredonia, 3-2, in overtime.
