Buffalo Teams See Success in Cleveland

The Ignite the Ice Tournament will have a couple of trophies heading east on the Thruway as the West Seneca Wings 12U Tier 11, Hamburg Hawks at14U Tier II and Buffalo Regals 16U Tier II bring home championships.

 

Final scoring for the weekend with Saturday afternoon and Sunday games include:

12U Tier 1:

Buffalo Bisons lost in the finals 3-1 to Pittsburgh. Earlier the Bisons lost to Compuware 3-1 and then beat the same team 3-1 in the semi-finals to advance to the finals.

 

12U Tier II:

West Seneca Wings beat the Ravens 2-1 for the Championship.

Earlier West Seneca beat the North Pittsburgh Wildcats 4-1; the Rochester Edge took the Buffalo Regals 9-2; Niagara Purple Eagles tied the Ravens; West Seneca then beat the Rochester Edge 8-0, Niagara lost to the Ravens 2-3 and in the Consolation match the Regals lost to North Pittsburgh 1-5.

14U Tier I:

It was the Buffalo Regals tying Team Illinois 1-1; then in the A semis the Regals teat Team Illinois 2-0.They lost to Honeybaked 7-1 in the finals.

14U Tier II:

West Seneca 4, Scarborough Sharks 0

Twisters 6, Niagara Purple Eagles 1

Scarborough 0, Hamburg Hawks 10

Stoney Creek 1, West Seneca 4

ASemis: Hamburg Hawks 7, Scaroborough 0

A Semis: West Seneca 2, Twisters 0

B Consolation: Niagara 1, Stoney Creek 2

Finals: Hamburg Hawks 2, West Seneca 1

16U TI:

The Buffalo Bisons beat Team Illinois 6-0 before heading to the A semi-finals and beating Compuware 3-0. In the finals the Bisons lost to the Chicago Fury, 5-1.

16U Tier II:

North Hills Vipers 1, Buffalo Regals 5

Lightning 1, Buffalo Stars 12

Regals 11, Lightning 0

Stars 0, North Pittsburgh 3

Semis: Buffalo Regals 3, Buffalo Stars 1

Finals: Buffalo Regals 5, A Angels 0

19U Tier II:

Buffalo 3, Falsons 2

West Seneca 3, Steel City 2

A Semis: Buffalo 3, Stoney Creek 0
