BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 22, 2016) — The Buffalo Sabres today announced the team has recalled forward Cal O’Reilly from the Rochester Americans (AHL).
O’Reilly (6’0”, 191 lbs., 9/30/1986) has appeared in five games for the Sabres this season, recording one assist and two penalty minutes. In 44 games with the Americans this season, O’Reilly has 28 points (6+22), and his 22 assists are tied for the team lead.
A fifth-round pick (150th overall) in the 2005 NHL Draft, O’Reilly has appeared in 118 NHL games in parts of five seasons with the Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes and Nashville Predators, logging 42 career points (13+29) and 14 penalty minutes.
