Utica, NY – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has assigned center Brendan Ganuce to the Utica Comets on a conditioning assignment.
Gaunce, 23, registered five assists and 33 penalty minutes in 57 games for the Canucks last season before missing the final 15 games of the season due to injury. He also appeared in four games for the Comets in 2016-17, collecting three points (2-1-3).
The Sudbury, Ontario native has played in 77 career NHL games, posting six points (1-5-6) and 35 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted in the first round, 26th overall, by the Canucks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
