HAVERHILL, Mass. – Robert DeGregorio, Atlantic Hockey Commissioner, announced today that a pair of Atlantic Hockey Association contests will be aired on national television on CBS Sports Network.

Niagara, the defending AHA Regular Season Champions, and the RIT Tigers will take to the ice on Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at Dwyer Arena as one of two AHA games chosen by the network for the 2013-14 campaign.  The first contest to be aired nationally will be on Friday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. as Air Force travels to West Point to take on Army.

“We are excited to have Atlantic Hockey games on national television again this year,” said Niagara head coach Dave Burkholder.  “The league is coming off an outstanding season with many non-conference wins and culminating with two Atlantic teams making the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever. It is a great way to keep the momentum going given this opportunity to showcase our league to the entire country.”

CBS Sports Network is available across the country through local cable, video and telco providers and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 221 and Dish Network Channel 158. For more information, including a full programming schedule and how to get CBS Sports Network, go to www.cbssportsnetwork.com.

The Atlantic Hockey Association arose when nine institutions joined together on June 30, 2003, to form a new Division-I men’s ice hockey conference. The league currently consists of twelve members: Air Force Academy, American International College, Army, Bentley University, Canisius College, the University of Connecticut, the College of the Holy Cross, Mercyhurst University, Niagara University, Robert Morris University, Rochester Institute of Technology and Sacred Heart University.
