Following first round sweeps by the No. 6 seed RIT and No. 4 seed Penn State, the CHA semifinals have been set.
Second-seeded Syracuse will take on Penn State in a one-game playoff on Friday for a berth in the CHA Championship game. The Orange and Nittany Lions split the regular season series 1-1-2 and this will be the first postseason meeting between the two programs.
RIT will square off with top-seeded Mercyhurst in other semifinal.
The winners of the two games will square off in Saturday’s CHA Championship game for a berth into the NCAA Tournament field.
Game times for this weekend will be announced on Sunday.
