St. Joe’s scored early in the first period of the Chiefs game on Saturday night, leading 1-0 by the end of the first. Joe’s connected three more times in the second, but the Chiefs rallied with two of their own, leaving the score 4-2 at the end of the period. Although Chiefs goaltender Maverick Blachowicz performed well for his team, the Chiefs lost 4-3, with defenseman Richard Karalus netting the final third period goal for Iroquois.

Second period goals for the Chiefs were scored by Ryan Marshall off an assist from Alex Held, and a nice shot by Joe Giambra off an assist from Jon Lavis.

Sunday night brought a harsh 6-0 loss for the Chiefs against Canisius. Despite a strong effort by the team, Iroquois could not get on the board.

The Chiefs next game will be against Starpoint on Saturday, January 10th at 8:10pm at the Hockey Outlet.
