From The Source
Head Coach Don Vaughan
(On game)
“It was a very disappointing loss for us. I thought we had some really good minutes. I thought we played the way we want to play for much of the game, but the ice got a little hacked up late in periods and we didn’t manage the puck the way you have to at this level. I thought we turned the puck over too much tonight.”
(On third period goals by Providence)
“We talked between the second and third periods about being a little more patient and pushing the puck up the ice and not making sloppy plays and that’s exactly what happened. I don’t think they had a lot of other great looks in the third aside from those two and they scored on both of them. That’s on us. The game-winning goal was a great move by (Mingoia), but we’re dropping the puck on bad ice in front of our net late in the third period of a tie game. It’s not very smart.”
