PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Tyson Spink scored his sixth goal of the season and Charlie Finn made 31 saves to lead Colgate to a 1-1 draw against Brown in ECAC Hockey action Friday at Meehan Auditorium.
Spink staked the Raiders to a 1-0 lead with his first power play tally of the season at the 17:26 mark of the first period.
Nick Lappin drew the Bears even midway through the second, finding the back of the net in the final seconds of a man-advantage situation for his fifth goal of the campaign.
After seeing just three shots during the opening period, Finn was busy the rest of the night, recording 13 saves in both the second and third periods. He was credited with two stops in overtime, both of which came in the opening minute of play in the extra session.
Tim Ernst established a new career high in saves between the pipes for Brown, finishing with 40 stops. He turned aside all but one of the 17 shots he faced from the Raiders in the first and recorded seven saves during the final four minutes of overtime.
