HAMILTON – Senior John Lidgett tallied two points on a goal and assist and junior Kyle Baun recorded his 10th goal of the season as No. 13 Colgate played to a 2-2 draw against Dartmouth in ECAC Hockey action Friday at Starr Rink.

After a scoreless first period, the two teams traded goals 47 seconds apart in the second. Eric Robinson scored at the 7:32 mark to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead, only to see Lidgett knot the game at 1-1 with the equalizer on the following shift.

In the third, junior Kyle Baun put Colgate in front, 2-1, with a power play goal just before the seven-minute mark, only to see Dartmouth tie the game with a goal from Brad Schierhorn at the 10:31 mark of the final frame.

Sophomore Charlie Finn made 24 saves for Colgate while James Kruger turned aside 31 shots for Dartmouth.

“I thought we had great effort at times tonight,” Colgate head coach Don Vaughan said. “We had great looks, but we have to finish on our chances. I felt we out-chanced them tonight but the puck just didn’t go in. We’ve got to find a way to win that game at home.”
