HAMILTON – Colgate head coach Don Vaughan announced Monday that senior defenseman Spiro Goulakos suffered a lower-body injury during Saturday’s contest at Union and is expected to miss the next four to six weeks.
The Montreal native was hurt late in the first period of Saturday’s matchup. He immediately left the game and did not return.
In his second campaign as team captain, Goulakos has appeared in all 22 games for the Raiders this season. A Preseason All-ECAC Hockey selection by the media, Goulakos currently ranks fifth in the league among defensemen with 13 points on two goals and a team-high 11 assists.
No. 14/15 Colgate returns to action Friday, hosting Dartmouth in a 7 p.m. ECAC Hockey contest at Starr Rink.
