GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Colgate senior forward Tim Harrison (Duxbury, Massachusetts) has signed an amateur tryout (ATO) contract with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder. Terms of Harrison’s contract have not been disclosed.
The Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, who Harrison was drafted by in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
“I am very excited and honored for receiving an opportunity to prove myself at the next level of my career,” Harrison said. “This has always been a dream of mine and I am hopeful for what the future may hold for me in this organization.
“Colgate has prepared me as a man and a hockey player to be the best I can be on and off the ice. I would like to thank my teammates, coaches staff and Colgate community for helping me reach my goal.”
Harrison, an assistant captain for the Raiders, had a career-best season for the Raiders as he poured home 11 goals with nine assists for his first career 20-point season. He also played in a career-high 37 games for the Raiders as a senior. He closed out his Colgate career with a six-game point streak with two goals and four assists over that span.
Throughout his career, Harrison scored 26 goals and tallied 28 assists for 54 points in 143 career games. Harrison was awarded the team’s Whit Williams Award, given annually to the most improved player throughout the season.
