Colgate head coach Don Vaughan announced Monday that assistant coach Jason Lefevre has resigned to a accept a position in the private sector, effective immediately.
Lefevre, a native of Rome, N.Y., was in his ninth season as a member of Vaughan’s staff and seventh as an assistant coach. A 2002 graduate of Colgate, Lefevre was a four-year playing member of the Raiders program, helping the squad advance to the 2000 NCAA tournament.
“Jason has had a very positive impact on Colgate Hockey,” Vaughan said. “His contributions to the program are on many levels and will be felt for years to come. His decision to leave the college hockey profession was a difficult one for him and he certainly will be missed. We wish him nothing but the best as he moves forward with his new career.”
