With the calendar flipping to March, it’s playoff time in college hockey, as Atlantic Hockey gets its first round underway on Monday. Regular season action will wrap up in the five other conferences this weekend (with the exception of a lone Michigan-Michigan State game slated for next Wednesday).

All six Division I conferences have had their postseason tournaments impacted by the COVID pandemic, with their updated plans detailed here. Niagara visits Mercyhurst Monday to open the postseason, with the host Lakers led by Carson Briere (Philadelphia, Pa./Trail-BCHL), the son of Daniel who ranks ninth nationally among freshman scorers.
