Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher has announced that the club has goaltender Clay Witt to an American Hockey League contract for the 2015-16 season.

Witt, 23, spent the 2014-15 season with Northeastern University where he posted a 11-10-2 record, a 2.83 goals against average, and a .904 save perecentage in 23 games.

The 6’2”, 200-pound Brandon, FL native played in 32 games during the 2013-14 campaign. He posted a 2.37 goals against average, and a .932 save percentage that was third best in the nation. Witt was a candidate for the Hobey Baker Award, and was a finalist for the Mike Richter Award.
