Comets Sign Franchise’s Single Season Goals Record Holder To PTO

Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher has announced that the club has signed forward Pascal Pelletier to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

Pelletier, 33, set the Comets single season records that still stand today for goals (22), power-play goals (11), and points (62), back in the team’s inaugural season. Pelletier, still third all-time in assists (40) for Utica, has amassed 345 points in 426 American Hockey League games played with the Providence Bruins, Rockford IceHogs, Syracuse Crunch, Peoria Rivermen, and the Comets. The Labrador City, Newfoundland native has also appeared in 16 National Hockey League contests.

After his season in Utica, the 5’11”, 198-pound forward played two seasons in the KHL where he collected 50 points (19-31-50) in 92 games with the Medvescak Zagreb, Admiral Vladivostok, and Jokerit.
