CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its men’s weekly award winners, and Max Andreev (Cornell), Tim Rego (Cornell), and Ethan Haider (Clarkson) have all been honored for the week ending November 14, 2021.

Player of the Week

Andreev (Sr. – Moscow, Russia) was dominant this weekend, averaging four points per-game (4-4) in Cornell’s weekend sweep of Union and RPI. After a two assist outing in Friday’s 4-1 win over the Dutchmen, the senior came back on Saturday with the best game of his career. He registered six points (4-2) in an 11-3 win against RPI, becoming the first Big Red skater to record six points in a game since November, 2003.

MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week

Haider (So. – Maple Grove, Minn.) allowed just two goals on 66 shots this weekend, backstopping Clarkson to a big sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth. He made 37 saves in a 6-2 win against No. 10 Harvard on Friday, before posting his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win against the Big Green on Saturday, making 27 saves in the process. The reigning Rookie of the Year finished the weekend with a .970 save percentage, and 1.00 GAA.

Rookie of the Week

Rego (So. – Mansfield, Mass.) put together a nice outing on Saturday, helping Cornell score 11 goals for the first time since 1979. The defenseman scored his first two collegiate goals in the game and added an assist for a three point night. He finished the weekend +3, playing a big part in the Big Red’s sweep of Union and RPI.
