ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils will face the Toronto Marlies in the North Division Final of the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs. During the regular season, the two teams owned the top two records in the Eastern Conference. Albany was second at 46-20-8-2 (.671), while Toronto was first at 54-16-5-1 (.750). During their First Round series, Albany defeated Utica, 3-1, and Toronto knocked off Bridgeport, 3-0.
The Second Round will follow a 2-3-2 format, starting with Game 1 on Wednesday, May 4 and Game 2 on Friday, May 6 at Toronto’s Ricoh Coliseum. The best-of-seven series shifts to Times Union Center for Game 3 on Sunday, May 8, Game 4 on Tuesday, May 10 and Game 5 on Thursday, May 12. Games 6 and 7 will be at Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday, May 14 and Monday, May 16.
