ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils have released their 2015-16 promotional schedule and this year’s calendar includes at least one promotional tie-in at 37 of the team’s 38 games at Times Union Center.
During the Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 24 against the Portland Pirates, the first 5,000 fans will receive a free magnet schedule, courtesy of CDTA. Additionally, fans have the option to purchase a 5, 10, 20 or 38-game ticket package and walk away with a commemorative Albany Devils Mr. Potato Head.
Further giveaways include a pennant on Jan. 9, a Devils player bobblehead on Jan. 23, a lunch box on Mar. 12 and a poster on Mar. 13. Postgame autograph sessions and postgame skates will be held on Nov. 1 and Mar. 13.
The Devils have extended their SEFCU College Nights to each midweek game, allowing students with proper identification to purchase tickets for $10. Additionally, Monday through Friday games will include a Happy Hour with $4, 12 ounce draft beers between 6 pm and the end of the first period.
The Devils and Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan will host “The Mayor’s Cash for Coats” drive on Oct. 24. The Price Chopper Thanksgiving Food Drive, benefitting the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, will be held on Nov. 1, 20, 21 and 25. Word of Life Night is also slated for Nov. 20 and the annual Teddy Bear Toss is scheduled for Dec. 5.
The Dec. 5 contest will also be “Star Wars Night” with members of the 501st Legion on hand to interact with Devils fans. Additionally that night, the team will be raising awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region.
GE Kids-In-Free returns for its sixth season. This year’s event will take place on Feb. 6 with all children 12-and-under receiving free admission.
Fight Cancer Night is set for Feb. 13, Pucks-N-Paws will be Apr. 3, Military Appreciation Night is scheduled for Apr. 10 and Fan Appreciation Night is scheduled for Apr. 16.
