CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey has announced its women’s weekly award winners, and Lauren Severson (RPI), Michelle Pasiechnyk (Clarkson), and Audrey McCutcheon (RPI) have all been honored for the week ending December 5, 2021.
Player of the Week
Severson (Gr. – Rockford, Ill.) earns Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after a two goal outing against Harvard on Saturday. Her second goal was key, as it tied the game and forced overtime, giving the Engineers a league point against the nationally-ranked Crimson. She was also a key component of the PK unit that went 8-for-9 on the weekend.
MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week
Pasiechnyk (So. – Ottawa, Ont.) continued her strong 2021-22 campaign with a weekend in which she stopped 40 of 41 shots that came her way. She sent aside 29 of 30 in a 1-1 tie against St. Lawrence on Thursday evening, before registering her third shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over the Saints on Saturday. The sophomore now ranks in the Top-5 of ECAC Hockey net minders in GAA (2nd), save percentage (4th), saves (3rd), and win percentage (5th).
Rookie of the Week
McCutcheon (Fr. – St.-Jean-sur-Richelieu, PQ) earns Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after registering a pair of points in RPI’s win over Dartmouth on Friday. She dished out an assist and also scored the game-winner in a game the Engineers would win 3-1. Pasiechnyk has had a strong first half of her rookie season, ranking second on the team with 10 points.
