BUFFALO, N.Y. — The NWHL announced the rosters for the 2019 NWHL All-Star Game in Nashville, Tennessee. Eight Beauts players have been chosen to participate, tying Buffalo with Minnesota for the most representatives in the game.
First-year goaltender Shannon Szabados will captain one of the teams, and she will be joined by defensemen Blake Bolden and Savannah Harmon and forward Hayley Scamurra. Szabados currently leads the NWHL with a .934 save percentage and a 1.75 goals-against average, and Scamurra holds the league lead in points (12) and assists (7). In her first year in the league, Harmon has a goal and leads Beauts defenders in shots on goal, and Bolden, who will be appearing in her second All-Star Game, has recorded two assists in her first season with the team.
Team Stecklein will also feature four Beauts, as goaltender Nicole Hensley, defensemen Emily Pfalzer and Lisa Chesson, and forward Dani Cameranesi will represent the team in the game. Pfalzer has made the All-Star Game in each of her three seasons in the league, and Chesson will be appearing in her second consecutive All-Star Game. Hensley and Cameranesi will both be making their first appearances as NWHL rookies this season after signing with the Beauts in the offseason.
