POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Potsdam women’s hockey player Ellie Cleary (Buffalo, N.Y./Buffalo Bisons) has been named to the Northeastern Women’s Hockey League’s All-Rookie Team.
Cleary had a strong debut campaign for Potsdam. The forward played in 22 games and led all Bears freshman with four goals and three assists for seven points. Cleary registered two game-winners and two power-play goals.
In 2018-19, Potsdam posted a 9-14-3 overall record and claimed second place in the NEWHL with a 6-8-2 conference mark. As the two seed in the playoffs, the Bears hosted the first home playoff game in program history.
