ESPN’s SportsCenter To Exclusively Unveil US Players For World Cup

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Hockey announced today that ESPN’s SportsCenter will exclusively unveil the first 16 players of its 2016 World Cup of Hockey roster on March 2 at approximately 6:45 p.m. ET.

Each of the eight participating teams in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey is required to name at least 16 players on March 2, including a minimum of two goaltenders.

The announcement will be followed by a media teleconference at 7:10 p.m. ET.

Set for Sept. 17-Oct. 1 in Toronto, the 2016 World Cup of Hockey will feature the U.S., Canada, Czech Republic, Europe, Finland, North America, Russia and Sweden.

NOTES: The U.S. management group for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey includes Dean Lombardi (Ludlow, Mass./L.A.
