After months of planning, the CHA got fully underway last week with a handful of league games. Following that, College Hockey America is pleased to announce the first weekly winners of the 2020-21 season.
Rookie of the Week
Kiara Zanon – Penn State
Freshman, Forward – Fairport, NY/Kingston Jr. Ice Wolves
Kiara Zanon tied for the CHA lead in points with three in three games played last week. She scored two goals and added an assist as the Nittany Lions went 2-0-1 against CHA foes Lindenwood and Syracuse. Zanon had two points in Penn State’s 4-1 win over Lindenwood to start the week, then came back with the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Syracuse.
