When Buffalo State hit the ice to play Oswego in Women’s Hockey this weekend; it was a homecoming for so many of us. Both teams have girls that played hockey in New York State, and many in the WNY Girls Varsity Ice Hockey League, founded nine years ago.
Behind the bench of Oswego was Diane Dillon, in her 18th year at Oswego and a native of North Tonawanda.
The game Friday night was 0-0 after two periods and then Oswego scored. While Buffalo lost, both teams showed a lot of skill and passion for the game of hockey.
