Rochester, NY – The Fire on Ice girls hockey tournament, hosted by Invitational Hockey Tournaments, returns to the Rochester area this weekend. This event is the largest girls ice hockey tournament in North America, drawing 169 teams and over 3,500 athletes to the area.
Of the 169 teams attending, 160 of those teams are from outside the Rochester area with teams traveling in from across the United States and Canada. In total, over 10,000 visitors will generate approximately 5,000 hotel room nights over the course of the event. The event is so large that games are being played at 11 ice rinks in the Grate Rochester area.
Fire on Ice features some of the top teams from the U10 age division up to the U19 age division.
