Four members of the William Smith College ice hockey team were named Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association. Since the award was first presented in 2017, the Herons have had 21 student-atheltes earn 30 All-American Scholar honors.
The AHCA recognizes varsity hockey players who have attained a 3.75 grade point average each semester during the 2021-22 season and participated in at least 40 percent of their school’s games.

The Herons were 10-15-1 during the 2021-22 season, posting a 7-9-1 mark in New England Hockey Conference play. The No. 6 seed, William Smith upset No. 3 Southern Maine to advance to the semifinals of the NEHC tournament.
