Hamilton College’s Brandon Willett ’18 (Toronto, Ontario/St. Michael’s College School) was selected the NESCAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week on Jan. 9.
The award is the first of Willett’s Hamilton career and the second this season for the Continentals. Hamilton (10-0-2, 5-0-2 NESCAC) is the only unbeaten NCAA hockey team — men or women, Divisions I and III.
Willett had a hand in five of the eight goals Hamilton scored in a pair of home wins during the weekend. He recorded his first hat trick for the Continentals in Saturday’s 6-3 victory against Bowdoin College and picked up the primary assist on both Hamilton goals in Friday night’s 2-1 triumph against Colby College.
Willett is tied for fourth in the NESCAC with eight goals and tied for seventh with 13 points. He is also tied for third with a pair of game-winning goals.
