BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team (3-0-0, 2-0-0 SUNYAC) posted its second straight shutout after defeating Brockport (1-3-0, 1-2-0 SUNYAC), 2-0, Friday night. Golden Eagle goalie Jared Lockhurst kept the home team in the game by making 39 saves, but the Laker offense proved to be too much in the end.

After an uneventful first period that saw only two penalties called, Zach Josepher (Sr., Wantagh, N.Y.) broke the tie with a power-play goal at 7:17 with Bobby Gertsakis (So., Pickering, Ontario) and Chris Brown (Sr., Centreville, Ontario) earning assists.

The score remained 1-0 at the start of third period before Luke Moodie (Sr., Oakville, N.Y.) posted his fourth goal of the season to extend the Lakers lead at 10:25. Paul Rodrigues (Sr., Etobicoke, Ontario) and Jon Whitelaw (Sr., Huntsville, Ontario) received assists on the insurance goal.

Andrew Hare (Sr., Burlington, Ontario) compiled 20 saves in the victory for his seventh career shutout.
