WHAT:
Local non-profit Hasek’s Heroes to host open enrollment events for its 2014-15 youth hockey programming for area children ages 4 through 17 at the Timothy J. Burvid and Rueben “Bud” Bakewell ice rinks in Cazenovia Park and Riverside Park, respectively. Registration is open online, however the in-person events will allow parents and children to meet the Hasek’s Heroes instructors, become familiar with the rinks, and be sized for the right equipment on-site all before the programs begin.
Hasek’s Heroes provides children in need throughout Western New York the foundations of athletic, academic and character development within fun and rewarding hands-on, hockey-centered programming and instruction. The organization provides any interested, eligible child with the opportunity to learn basic skating and hockey skills and, for those with the aptitude and commitment, the opportunity to participate in the tiered hockey development program.
