Canisius College Hockey is looking for the following positions to be filled for the 2014/15 season.

Position #1

Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager – 2014/15 & 2015/16

The Canisius College Hockey Program will provide the selected candidate:

  • Tuition Waivers for 6 graduate classes a year
  • $7,000 Stipend
  • Possibility of Managerial job with Athletic Center Equipment room.
  1. Manage Equipment & Locker Room – All Practices and Games
  2. Manage Hockey Laundry
  3. Travel with team to all games
  4. NCAA & Canisius College Compliant
  5. Team Travel

Position #2

Director of Hockey Operations
This is a volunteer position: Prefer graduate students.
Possibility of Managerial job with Athletic Center Equipment room

  1. Assist with all hockey related duties of a division one program
  2. Manage in game video and distribution of video
  3. Team Travel
  4. Travel to games
  5. NCAA & Canisius College Compliant

Position #3

Event Manager – 2014/15
This is a volunteer position: Can be graduate or undergraduate.
Possibility of Managerial job with Athletic Center Equipment room

  1. Coordinate and manage events with team and parents
  2. Coordinate and manage campus tours for youth and junior teams
  3. Coordinate and manage alumni events
  4. Help with all aspects during a game of hosting guests
  5. NCAA & Canisius College Compliant

Position #4

Student Manager – 2014/15
This is a volunteer position: Can be a graduate or an undergraduate.

  1. Assist with all aspects of a division one hockey program
  2. Video assistant
  3. game and practice assistance
  4. NCAA & Canisius College Compliant

Position #5

Video Coordinator
This is a volunteer position: Can be graduate or undergraduate student.
Possibility of Managerial job with Athletic Center Equipment room

  1. Manage all hockey video
  2. Manage in game video, practice video and distribution of video to coaches and players
  3. NCAA & Canisius College Compliant

Janet has been covering women's hockey for over 35 years. Along with a 38 year career in Public Relations and over 40 years photographing sports, she found a passion in women's hockey. Her initial story was on the founding of the Niagara University D1 program, she expanded to collegiate and youth and was active in the founding and promoting of the WNY Girls Varsity Ice Hockey Federation. When Professional Women's Hockey hit the ice she was there, one of the first to release the story in WNY. Along with her husband, Randy, people comment that if there's hockey, the Schultz's are there!
