The Hobart College hockey team is hosting two alumni gatherings in the next two weekends. The first will take place prior to the current Statesmen playing at Manhattanville on Saturday, Feb. 13, and then alumni weekend in Geneva will take place Feb. 19-20.
This Saturday, in Rye, N.Y., there will be a pregame gathering at the Rye Grill and Bar for all HWS alumni, alumnae, parents and friends. The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the puck dropping at Manhattanville’s Playland Ice Casino at 7 p.m. To register or for more information, click here or contact Michelle Robbins in Alumni House at 315-781-3771.
The following weekend, the annual Hobart hockey alumni weekend will begin with a welcome gathering at Eddie O’Briens on Friday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. On Saturday, an alumni game will be held at 11 a.m. in The Cooler, followed by a gathering at the Cedar Inn before the current Statesmen take on Elmira for their final regular season game at 4 p.m. Following the game, there will be a dinner at 7 p.m. for current players, coaches, alumni and parents in the Common Room in the Scandling Campus Center. The Statesmen are 17-3-2 overall and 10-2-0 in conference this season. Hobart is currently sitting in first place in the ECAC West. The Statesmen are ranked No. 5 in the nation in both the USCHO.com poll and the D3hockey.com poll.
