Hockey Remains on USCHO Poll for 15th Straight Week

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara hockey team is the No. 15 team in the country, picking up 221 points in the USCHO.com Division I poll, released Monday.

This is the program-best 15th successive week the Purple Eagles have been on the top-20 poll, last week coming in at No. 14.

The USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine College Hockey Poll has Niagara receiving 25 votes after spending a program-best four consecutive weeks on the top-15 poll, while the NCAA Tournament PairWise Comparison Ratings, which helps determine the NCAA field of 16, has NU in 13th.

The squad wrapped up the regular season with a 21-8-5 overall record, and a 20-5-2 Atlantic Hockey mark after dropping a pair of contests at Air Force this past weekend.  The No. 1 seeded Purple Eagles will enjoy a weekend bye in the first round of the AHA playoffs before hosting a best-of-three quarterfinal series from March 15-17 at Dwyer Arena.
