Hockey’s Big 3rd Period Lifts Vikings Past Hawks

The Hudson Valley Community College hockey team (2-5-1) defeated Mohawk Valley Community College (6-7), 7-3, on Wednesday evening.

 

Brad Harrison (CBA/Saratoga), Brandon Doherty (John Jay/Hopewell Junction), and Nick Dennis (Shaker/Latham) each scored in the first period to make it 3-3 at the end of one. After neither team scored in the second, the Vikings broke the game open with four unanswered goals in the final period. Dennis and Doherty each scored again, and Nick Carrizzo (John Jay/Fishkill) tacked on two more to give the Vikings their second win of the season.
