How To Follow USA Hockey Events In The Upcoming Month

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – With four international competitions over the course of the next month, below is a look at those events, including how to purchase tickets (for U.S.-based events), broadcast/streaming information, and the event link to follow action during each event.

WORLD JUNIOR SUMMER SHOWCASE | Plymouth, Mich. | July 27 – Aug. 4

USA Hockey will host the 2023 World Junior Summer Showcase starting tomorrow (July 27) through Aug. 4 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich., with Finland and Sweden also participating. The event will serve as an evaluation for athletes seeking to make their respective national teams for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2023 – Jan. 5, 2024, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Tickets to the eight games that are part of the World Junior Summer Showcase — two each day on July 29, 31, Aug. 2 and Aug 4 — can either be purchased online by clicking here or at the USA Hockey Arena box office. All practices part of the WJSS are free of charge and open to the public. A complete WJSS schedule can be found here.

HLINKA-GRETZKY CUP | Breclav, Czechia/Trencin, Slovakia | July 31 – Aug. 5

The U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team will compete in the eight-team 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, July 31-Aug. 5 in Breclav, Czechia, and Trencin, Slovakia.

The U.S. opens play in the tournament on Mon., July 31, at 1 p.m. ET against Czechia.

All U.S. games in the event, except the exhibition game, will be televised live on NHL Network

U17 FIVE NATIONS | Chomutov, Czechia | Aug. 4-8

The U.S. Under-17 Men’s Select Team will compete in the 2023 U17 Five Nations Tournament set for Aug. 4-8 in Chomutov, Czechia.

Team USA opens play on Fri., Aug. 4, against Slovakia with opening faceoff set for 9 a.m. ET.

U18 SERIES/COLLEGIATE SERIES vs. CANADA | Lake Placid, N.Y. | Aug. 16-19

USA Hockey will host Canada in a pair of women’s three-game series in Lake Placid, New York, from Aug. 16-19, following the USA Hockey Women’s National Festival from Aug. 7-13 in Lake Placid.  

The U18 Series features the U.S. Under-18 Women’s Select Team, which boasts the best players under the age of 18 from their respective countries, while the Collegiate Series  showcases the U.S. Collegiate Women’s Select Team and includes players from the U.S. and Canada with collegiate eligibility.
